Country Fried Chicken

Key Ingredients
  • 125ml cake flour
  • 10ml salt
  • 5ml pepper
  • 5ml garlic salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 250ml Jungle Oats
  • 6-8 chicken pieces
  • Oil for deep frying
Method
  1. Mix cake flour, oats and spices in a plastic bag. Drop the chicken pieces into the bag and shake until each piece is well coated with flour.
  2. Dip each chicken portion in the beaten egg, shake off excess and roll back in flour mixture. Lay the chicken pieces on a plate. (Do not put them on top of each other).
  3. Refrigerate for ± 30 minutes.
  4. Fry chicken pieces in heated oil until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.
  5. Serve with a crisp salad.
